About Us

Cornerstone Church at Huntsville

Here, we pay tribute to our past, and walk faithfully into the future. Our church blends traditional and modern worship into one welcoming experience for members and visitors, old and new. In 1998, Pastor and Alice Meadows arrived in Huntsville, to find a faithful and small congregation who were in the middle of building the Anstine Hall addition to the church. This addition spurred unanticipated congregational growth, and soon, the church decided to go all in on a sanctuary and facility addition. The cross behind the pulpit is made from floor joists from the original sanctuary. The stain glass was preserved and reused in the addition for a seamless transformation. And under the newly laid carpet, you’ll find bible verses scrawled all over the floor by those congregants who were present during the time of the addition. Since then, the church has grown to a vibrant worshiping community, with many more worshipping remotely via live stream.

Imagine …

Imagine a church where you feel at home. Where you feel God’s presence among you. Where fellowship is genuine. Where your past failures remain in the past. Where God’s grace is celebrated as it forgives, heals, restores, and encourages us to take the next step on our faith journey. Where it doesn’t matter what you wear, how much money you earn for a living, where you live, or how you voted in the last election. Where judgment and criticism are reserved for God above.

Imagine a church where worship is fun and centered on the right thing. Where people, families, and singles want to be. Where children and youth are accepted and nurtured in the faith. Where spiritual growth and development replace worn-out traditions. Where questions and even doubts are allowed. Where people give their very best to honor God in all they do. Where people can reach out to others, regardless of their place or station in life, offering them the hope of Christ.

Here at Cornerstone Church at Huntsville, we long for that true community where Jesus Christ is lifted up, and where His followers find their way home. We simply long for people to move closer to God.
